COMETS AS THE SIGN OF TIMES

( Cuenca Equador On February 8, 1990) Our Lord appeared to Patricia Talbot and told her that one of the signs that would point to the nearness of the chastisement would be a comet which would pass by the earth. He said that His mother was preparing us for His Second Coming.

Be on the Alert ( Matthew 24:36-44 )
" As it was in Noah's day, so will it be when the Son of Man comes. For in those days before the Flood people were eating, drinking, taking wives, taking husbands, right up to the day Noah went into the ark, and they suspected nothing till the Flood came and swept all away. It will be like this when the Son of Man comes. Then of two men in the fields one is taken, one is left; of two women at the millstone grinding, one is taken, one is left. So stay awake, because you do not know the day when your master is coming. You may be quiet sure of this if the householder had known at what time of the night the burglar would come, he would have stayed awake and would not have allowed anyone to break though the wall of his house. Therefore, you too must stand ready because the Son of Man is coming at the hour you do not expect. "

Two Comets Spotted by NASA

 Comet Encke is due for its closest pass with the sun — called perihelion — on Nov. 21, while ISON is set for its grazing on Nov. 28. Before Encke's perihelion, however, the comet will come within 2.3 million miles (3.7 million kilometers) of Mercury, possibly allowing Messenger scientists to get an even better look at the comet.

St. Maximilian Kolbe vs Freemasonry

On October 16, 1917, while still a student friar in Rome, St. Maximilian founded the association of Catholic faithful known as the Militia Immaculatae ( Knights of the Immaculata movement ) Its purpose was Catholic evangelism under the sponsorship of  Mary, the Immaculata and Woman Full of Grace. The immediate stimulus for this was St. Maximilian's desire to combat the militant naturalism of International Freemasonry which was celebrating its second centenary  that year. He has personally witnessed Masonic activists demonstrating and blaspheming under the very windows of the Vatican.

The most powerful typhoon ever

HAIYAN (YOLANDA) becomes an Extremely Catastrophic Super Typhoon and is considered as the most powerful of all Super Typhoons for 2013 and in history.

In the New Testament, Jesus Christ, Our Lord, said: "And there shall be signs in the sun, and in the moon, and in the stars; and upon the earth distress of nations, by reason of the confusion of the roaring of the sea and of the waves; Men withering away for fear, and expectation of what shall come upon the whole world. For the powers of heaven shall be moved." (Lk. 21: 25-26) That is an infallible prophesy.

Speaking of comet prophecies, here is another one from St. Hildegard of Bingen (d. 1179 A.D.):

"Before the Comet comes, many nations, the good excepted, will be scoured with want and famine. The great nation in the ocean that is inhabited by people of different tribes and descent by an earthquake, storm and tidal waves will be devastated. It will be divided, and in great part submerged. That nation will also have many misfortunes at sea, and lose its colonies in the east through a Tiger and a Lion."

"The Comet by its tremendous pressure, will force much out of the ocean and flood many countries, causing much want and many plagues. All sea coast cities will be fearful and many of them will be destroyed by tidal waves, and most living creatures will be killed and even those who escape will die from a horrible disease. For in none of these cities does a person live according to the laws of God."

The Prophecy of St. Francis
Shortly before he died, St. Francis of Assisi called together his followers and warned them of the coming troubles, which are now upon us in this time of great tribulation. He prophesied:

The time is fast approaching in which there will be great trials and afflictions; perplexities and dissensions, both spiritual and temporal, will abound; the charity of many will grow cold, and the malice of the wicked will increase.

The devils will have unusual power, the immaculate purity of our Order, and of others, will be so much obscured that there will be very few Christians who will obey the true Sovereign Pontiff and the Roman Church with loyal hearts and perfect charity. At the time of this tribulation a man, not canonically elected, will be raised to the Pontificate, who, by his cunning, will endeavour to draw many into error and death.

Then scandals will be multiplied, our Order will be divided, and many others will be entirely destroyed, because they will consent to error instead of opposing it.

There will be such diversity of opinions and schisms among the people, the religious and the clergy, that, except those days were shortened, according to the words of the Gospel, even the elect would be led into error, were they not specially guided, amid such great confusion, by the immense mercy of God.

Then our Rule and manner of life will be violently opposed by some, and terrible trials will come upon us. Those who are found faithful will receive the crown of life; but woe to those who, trusting solely in their Order, shall fall into tepidity, for they will not be able to support the temptations permitted for the proving of the elect.

Those who preserve in their fervour and adhere to virtue with love and zeal for the truth, will suffer injuries and, persecutions as rebels and schismatics; for their persecutors, urged on by the evil spirits, will say they are rendering a great service to God by destroying such pestilent men from the face of the earth. but the Lord will be the refuge of the afflicted, and will save all who trust in Him. And in order to be like their Head, [Jesus Christ] these, the elect, will act with confidence, and by their death will purchase for themselves eternal life; choosing to obey God rather than man, they will fear nothing, and they will prefer to perish rather than consent to falsehood and perfidy.

Some preachers will keep silence about the truth, and others will trample it under foot and deny it. Sanctity of life will be held in derision even by those who outwardly profess it, for in those days Jesus Christ will send them not a true pastor but a destroyer.”

The Signs of Our Times ( The signs are clearly indicated in the Gospel, in the letters of Saint Peter and Saint Paul, and they are becoming a reality during these years. )

Jesus spoke to St. Faustina of a cross in the sky in the last days in great detail: " Before I come as a just judge, I am coming first as the King of Mercy. Before the day of justice arrives, there will be given to people a sign in the heavens of this sort: " All light in the heavens will be extinguished, and there will be great darkness over the whole earth. Then the sign of the cross will be seen in the sky, and from the openings where the hands and the feet of the Savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will take place shortly before the last day. "

When the Lord came the first time there was a Comet. This one COMET ISON is very significant in our times.

With reference to the pages and posts about Pope Leo XIII and his coat of arms, and the page about the Comet ISON, one cannot ignore the fact that we are living or are about to witness what was prophesied on the Pope Leo XIII’s coat of arms.The real meaning behind Pope Leo XIII’s coat of arms is clear:

The tree represents the Church. The grey band represents the division between the two eras, below our current time and the above it the new era. The two fleur-de-lis (a symbol of the kings) actually represent the two concurrent Popes (kings) that we have now (Pope Benedict XVI and Pope Francis I). Above there’s a comet meaning that a particular comet will signal the new era of the Catholics. Like Halley’s Comet announced the birth of the Messiah, Comet ISON will be doing the same of the Second Coming of the Messiah.

One might ask what has this coat of arms from a pope over a century ago got to do with all this. Pope Leo XIII had a vision of the end of our time. In this vision Satan asked Christ for a period of 100 years time to destroy what’s so dear to God – the church and its people. The 100 years are about to end.
